The energetic response of students and the administration at the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired was inspiring.
After observing the class, both PE instructor Jon Shively and his principal were so impressed they decided there and then to incorporate yoga into the current year’s curriculum.
Jon Shively had just started practicing yoga himself
, and was in the process of introducing yoga to his students at the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired when Tracy called.
Timing was perfect: none of his students had ever taken yoga and now, here was Tracy who could give them their initial yoga lesson using this mat.
In the first class, students were uncertain and awkward. By the second, it was as if they had been practicing yoga for a long time. Once again, VIYM® had reduced the students’ learning curve.
